Move with the Wind of God

Picture yourself sitting on a hill under a tree. It's a beautiful, sunny day and it's fairly warm out. You've been walking for a while now, and you're hot and starting to get tired. As you sit under this tree to rest, a fresh wind hits you. You soak in it, and praise God for it, while continuing to bask in it. Suddenly, you have to energy to keep going.

This time you are refreshed and though you still have a good distance to walk before you get to your destination, you have the power to move forward. The wind continued to blow on your journey, and it even became fun. Before you knew it, you had reached your destination. To God be the Glory. Friends, that's a small portion of what it is like to live with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is constantly moving upon the earth, breathing and working. When we are close enough to Him and in constant communication with Him, He allows us to see things in the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will allow us to sense when and how things are moving, who and what to bring with you and how you need to adjust.

One thing's for certain: when the Holy Spirit moves, you want to move with Him.

We often get held up on people, places and things, therefore, when the opportunity presents itself to move to a different place, we fight it. Moving with God is not an easy task, but following Him is the only way. There are heights that God wants to take you to, and you must be okay with saying "Yes Lord. Not my will, but thy will be done."

This may warrant you leaving places, jobs, cities, families and more to move in the direction that God is calling you. Matthew 19:29 reads, "And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life."

When the Holy Spirit speaks to you and tells you it's time to move in a different direction, it's always for a greater purpose.

There's many reasons why we sometimes fight this and I'd like to highlight some with scriptures that dispel these thoughts:

1. Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 reads "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind."

2. Uncertainty

Philippians 1:6 "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns”

Luke 12:11-12 "When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

3. Comfortability

Joshua 1:9 reads "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Obeying the commands of God for your life and moving with the Holy Spirit will always birth rewards. Isaiah 43:19 reads "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Do not fear the move of God! The Lord will always lead and guide you, and will never steer you wrong.

Lastly, I would like to end with Psalm 19:7-11.

7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8 The commandments of the Lord are clear, giving insight to for living.
9 Reverence for the Lord are true; each one is fair.
10 They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
11 They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.

May strength and peace be with you always ♡
