Never Stop Dreaming

A Poem Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

My suns and daughters,

I urge you to never stop dreaming.

I had a dream,

And while that dream has manifested and is not manifested,

I urge you to never stop dreaming.

I know what you see,

I know because I too saw, however,

I urge you to never stop dreaming.

Dream your now to be better than what you can see.

With riots and bigots and anger and violence,

I urge you to never stop dreaming.

Dream peace, dream love, dream freedom,

Dream a life as I once dreamed,

That with this faith,

We will be able to work together,

To pray together,

To struggle together,

To go to jail together,

To stand up to freedom together,

Knowing that one day we will be free.

So my suns and daughters,

I urge you to never stop dreaming.

Dream until it becomes your reality.

And even when it seems your reality isn't changing,

I urge you to never stop dreaming.
